So it turns out that I search for a blog from someone else only to find myself signed in to Blogger already. On an impulse I decided (like two minutes ago) that I should really commit to virtual paper all the antics I get up to while trying to maintain an orchid collection (probably the focus of this blog, although I can't make any promises), run an allotment, keep on top of a large garden and attempt to eat and sleep in between all of this. There have been many times in the past where I have thought that I should keep a record of what i'm doing, as much for my own reference as for anyone else's benefit (though if anyone does take away any nuggets of information I'll consider that a bonus. It looks for all the world as if Blogger has been absorbed into Google. This is great as I stand a chance of remembering my login details, and I might even be able to use it on my mobile device.
I really have no idea how this works, so I'm sure this will prove entertaining, or frustrating (or possibly both in equal measure). It also involves me remembering things like login details and passwords. Plant names I remember, but really bugger all else.
The more astute among my readers might work out that I also have a website. They might also notice that I never update it. This is because I also have not the faintest idea how to 'do' websites. This blog is an attempt to start to remedy that. It isn't intended as a vehicle to sell plants, but that doesn't mean that I won't do so in the future. I think I might take the website offline to be honest, as it really doesn't do what I want it to.
I already have an idea for several blog posts I would like to write, so hopefully I'll be able to get into the habit of updating stuff. Some of it might even be about orchids, some might not. We'll see.
I love the beautiful orchids, house plants and vegetables you grow Kevin, and I am sure you will be posting some wonderful specimens and also tips on how to grow them well. Following your blog will be an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words. I hope I can live up to expectation!
